1. Warranty

Quinnsgate Glassworks offers a 90 day repair/replace warranty on all our glass pieces.  The only caveat is that the breakage is not covered by improper hanging, horseplay, or other misuse.  These pieces are made of glass and should be treated as such.  We believe our glass pieces are of such high quality that a warranty is unneeded but we also understand that sometimes incidents beyond anyone's control can happen.  In such a case we'll be happy to repair or replace the piece at our discretion.  Simply mail the damaged piece to Quinnsgate Glassworks, 2128 E. El Parque Dr., Tempe, AZ 85282 and include the proof of purchase card that was originally included with your order.

2. What do I do if my item arrived broken?

First take a deep breath.  Unfortunately these things can happen but Quinnsgate Glassworks will not leave you stranded.  We offer a 90 day repair/replace warranty on all our glass items.  Email us and let us know what's happened, then simply send the  item back to us and we'll take care of it from there.

3. What is customizable and how do I do it?

Right now Quinnsgate Glassworks allows for the Dragonfly and Butterflies Suncatchers to be customizable.  You can choose to get a color combination of the artist's choice or for $2.99 extra you can choose the colors you'd like.  For the Dragonfly Suncatchers you can choose one color from Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, or Purple.  The Butterflies Suncatcher lets you choose up to four colors from Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, or Purple.  Customizable orders take up to 2 weeks for delivery after payment is processed.

In the future, we may offer more customizable designs so check back often.

4. What is the Glass of the Month?

Originally, I was going to produce one "original" work each month.  Then I actually got orders for other things and couldn't possibly keep up with the schedule I had set for myself.  So now, when I have the time and inspiration I'll make an original "specialty window" of a design that will never be repeated. The latest available window can be found on the Windows page.

If you are interested in purchasing the available Specialty Window, then click the "Add to cart" button.  If you've missed a past window design then check the Gallery page.  There you will find past windows and some may still be available.  If the available window doesn't fit your fancy, then read below on how to submit your own design.

5. Can I make a special order for a window of my own design?

Yes, you can submit your own design for a window. Though personal designs can be tricky because people have an idea for a window that does not lend itself well to glass.  I will work with you to design just the right window.  If you have an idea for a custom window, contact us directly via phone or email.

We'll need a rough sketch of your idea either on paper or electronically in .jpeg or .gif format. I will look over the design and make it glass feasible, then send you the final design for your approval.  This can be the hardest part of the process and it may take a design or two for both parties to be satisfied.

Next we'll work out a price and a time table based on the amount of glass and supplies needed to create the piece.

After that, just relax and make a space for your new Quinnsgate Glassworks window which will arrive within two weeks.

6. How do I care for and clean my glass?

All our glass is finished with a classic patina stain and a coat of carnauba wax.  Over time dust will settle and the window will loose it's shine.  We recommend that you wipe the window with a dry rag first, then apply a spray wax (such as pledge) to the rag and wipe the window.  Windex and other glass cleaners can damage the patina stain over the solder.

Sometimes wax will dry to a white powder around solder edges.  If this occurs, you can use an old, soft, toothbrush to gently scrub the powder out.  DO NOT SCRUB HARD.  This is a gentle process!

8. Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we will ship your purchase overseas.  There are additional packaging and handling charges for overseas shipping.  After placing your order, you will be contacted directly with the adjusted shipping cost.  Or you can contact us directly either by email or phone (480-894-6034) to discuss shipping costs before you order.

9. Why doesn't my piece look like the one in the picture?

All our glass pieces are made by hand using individually cut pieces of glass.  Each piece is made upon order thus no two pieces will look the same -- even if we tried to make them look the same.  Remember, because we make your piece upon order, your item can take up to 2 weeks to arrive.
